Do you think this is a collector's item? I don't know the quality of these remastered versus the 24-Bit. I assume the 24-Bit are better.

How much does this go for now?

I remember seeing that boxed set go for a LOT of money for what it actually is.

It is the remastering box, it costs a lot of money, GJ saw one on eBay, he said the price was enormous !
It's very rare, if you can buy it and if you have the money to buy it, do it :P

Yes, it's a collector's item. I saw it twice on e-bay but the price was enormous high for what it actually is! But on the other thing, I saw once "Les Concerts En Chine vol. 1" from this remastered editions at www.eil.com and the price was very high (around 100 euro)...

Greetzzz...

I have that boxset, and yes, it's extremely rare and costs a lot of money...
The quality of the remasters is even worse than the 24bit remasters...

Well...at least it really is something to carry away backstage to get signed by JMJ, don't you think? :)

No way!

JMJ's got to get over to my place if he wants to sign it that desperately... :D

Agreed - I had that set, the quality was worse than the originals and certainly not as good as Scott Hull Masterdisc remasters. I sold my box set.

So I really should be happy that when I started buying Jarre CD's there were no rematered versions yet?

Yay! :D

Well, the latest remasters are better in quality than the first series of releases (polydor/polygram), but there are some oddities, such as the famous reversed stereo effect of equinoxe... :P

So for better quality go with remasters (1997 edition), but for true musicalwise reproduction of the original vinyl release, go with polydor... :D

Thanks for the info!

I got these with Buy It Now off of eBay since I last wrote. 75 Euros. So a prety good deal I think.

But it cost 20 Euros to ship to California! Ha, ha, ha! So maybe the deal wasn't that good. Still....

I saw this set on ebay 2 months ago, I was watching it. I think it sold for £270.
