That photo is captioned 1975 but I thought JMJ and Charlotte only met in the summer of 1976?

I'm not sure, but I thought JMJ wrote the lyrics of Les Mots Bleus for Charlotte back in 1974

He meets Charlotte for the first time during a meal organized by a mutual friend in 1976 in Saint Tropez.
They are each married but Jarre falls in love...
(N. B.: I was not invited to this meal)
In any case Jarre was married for two years, from 75 to 77, with Flore Guillard... Together they had Émilie.
And therefore for whom are "Les Mots Bleux" ? Mystery !

At the same time it doesn't match because the photo above date from 1975

I think the photo is dated incorrectly.

Agreed - while not entirely impossible, I don't think that pre-Oxygene JMJ (especially before the international release) would have been that interesting for international photographers (unless it was a heck of a coincidence and Charlotte Rampling was the actual subject of the photo)

The Carreer of Charlotte Rampling was already a fact since 1964 for cinema and 1967 for TV.
Jarre would become famous from the end of 76...
Charlotte in the meantime offers him, as you know, the work of Granger which will illustrate his album Oxygene.
In any case, he formed a very beautiful, glamorous couple.

Oh yes.
I'd say that the photo is probably from 1976 at the earliest, but who knows for sure.
Out of interest, I checked that most of the 1976-1978 releases (on LP, at least) of Oxygene feature the photo by David Bailey on the
back cover.
This 1977 pressing from Italy might be the first one featuring the photo of JMJ taken by Charlotte Rampling (later used as the 1997 CD remaster's back cover, for example). Jarre looks very similar in that photo as he does in the "1975" one with Charlotte (and slightly different than he does in Bailey's photo). I guess we'd have to find a certified picture of JMJ from 1975 to be more certain

I found this one

even if it is written that this photo dates from 1975 nothing obvious.

Thanks! Indeed, very interesting how there are all these photos of JMJ and Charlotte Rampling from the year when JMJ had gotten married to his first wife.

Charlotte Rampling and Jean Michel Jarre sighting in 1975. That is what it says on the photo description:
