Roland JD-800

Ok, so finally I'm going to get me one of these!
It will be sent to me friday...loooong wait...and it will be at my place sometime next week.
It was in good condition and I'm also getting the Dance cards...whatever they contain. It's going to be so fun to try out Rimberts patches and to program a digital synth (I have programmed my analogues and VA:s but never a "digital").
Sorry, I have no meaning with this tread...I'm just happy!
Has anybody got some soundteasers for me...? I know that there are JD-800-fans on this forum.

Don't worry - it's very similar, maybe even the same
I have a JD800. Try
this (El. Piano, CS80 leads, SFX and Drums/Percussion are JD)

Very cool synth
The programming is exactly like a VA, except that it uses samples instead of oscillators.

Really love that bass too.
The main reason that I went for the JD-800 is it's soundtrack/Vangelis/dreamscape possibilities. Can't wait to combine my stringmachine with the pads of the JD.
Btw: Is Chronologie the only album that Jarre used this synth on?

Radek: Wonderful. There's no other word for it.... Very moving and digital, but at the same time warm and living.
GeeJee: After listening at bluesynths.com, yours and Radeks mp3:s, I think that I will be very happy with this machine.
I cannot believe that it's so cheap right now. Just a few years ago it cost around 650 Euro in ads and now it's more like 450 Euro!?
I'm pretty sure that this will be a classic keyboard in a near future..when the VA-thingy has settled and people start to look for something new in synthesis besides their analogues.

450 is a bargain, indeed. It's the price I paid for mine. I sold it 2 months later for 500 euros. I'm sure it would have sold for 550, but I wanted to sell it fast.
