True, the laserharp was a real device but not practical live. None of the laser harp sequences in any Jarre concerts were performed live they were mimed for practical reasons. As I have said in another thread I had the good fortune to talk to two of Jarres engineers who worked on Docklands and the Bastille concert who confirmed this. I have no problem with accepting that. I can't see why everyone else has a problem with it. It's a great effect and adds a lot to the show.

The synthex is a lovely synth

Very cool man!

I'm not a musician but it was great to see how those sounds came about. It would be great if Jarre used that synth again on another album.

I was just listening to Rendez-Vous tonight jogging late at night on my Nano here in California when I saw a test rocket from Vandenburg Airforce Base re-enter the earth's atmosphere and make a huge burning glow like a shooting star. Right around the end of 2nd Rendez-vous Part 1.

But I digress.

In beijing he used some old synths yet! I saw a prophet 5 and some others, but I thought no Synthex

I doubt, my dear No Synthex has been spotted on stage with Jean Michel since 1990, when Frederic Rousseau had one in his rig during the La Defense concert

He does, I hope he will do the same on his next album !
But if he says it will be rather orchestral (like Akropolis and Rendez-Vous) and quite "zoolook-like", I think he will use the Synthex, as he did for Rendez-Vous
