Swindon UK had the first Local Cable Network TV station in Europe which was closed down by NTL in 1999 when they inflicted their crap service on my town. Swindon Cable as it was known had been running since the early seventies and had changed many times over the years before its demise in 1999. I was digging through the archives and found some summary material from their last week of programming, I have made some of this available on YouTube and Google Video (mainly for Swindon people) but if you are interested in the development of Local Network Television these short clips are quite interesting.
