Rules are simple: somebody posts an mp3 example and we try to guess what synth it is, then after it's done, anyone else posts another, and so on and so forth...

Let's start:
Guess the synth (effectts like reverb/delay added in some examples)
This is one of the five brothers, although the mark doesn't not tell it- it's the oldest; The company which made it is recognised widely as manufacturer of grand pianos and not synthesizers, but still has it's place in their hall of fame.

I would opt for a Yamaha...but then... SY series? CS series ? logic dictates you own it.. so I would go for the CS1x.... the farfisa organ sample hints it...

So i'm really qurious if I was anything near.... I could be galaxies off... I'm more the analognut....

And you shall be rewarded, there's much analog in here, but it's not the CS1x, nor even Yamaha

Hmmm.... bah!

Second thing that pops up in my mind is Kawai... also makes piano's....

but the type is unguessable for me... it could be anything.... K3m?

If I fiind some time I'll also make a nice audio clip so you can all guess

K3m is correct, although you guessed from the list, not the synth

Nice idea, but using own hardware synth makes sense if you have plenty of them Well, Rambo, you have a nice gearlist...
On my side, I could demonstrate some software synths or sound modules. That would be much more difficult, but to make it easier I'd play factory patches...
Or maybe doing a very little extract of any music, where there is one synth sound (an author of this excerpt ought to be definitely sure where does it come from).

btw nico: arp2600 is monophonic

I think it's Waldorf Wave or PPG or any additive synth...

Agree, the last program clearly gives impression of stable FM synthesis, earlier sound like wavetable, so I assume that is Wave, now the question: which Wave

Hmmm... So that might be Yamaha or Casio. Yamaha is known also for motorbikes and Casio for watches...

Yamaha (AN1x? FS1r?) or Casio (CZ 5000?)
