Jean-Michel Jarre, born August 24, 1948 in the 4th arrondissement of Lyon, is a French composer and performer of electronic music.

He joined Sacem as a writer and composer on January 5, 1968. He became a permanent member on April 17, 1980. In 2010, he received the Grand Prix sacem of electronic music.
