I want to record cd audio 96 kHz and 24 bit. What soft I need to use? Nero reports unsupported file error

Nero can really screw up on some PCs. Try another program (Windows Media?)

DVD audio is the only format that can use 96/24..... Normal CD's can only do 44.1/16...
