Some Equinoxe LPs (e.g. this one) have a note on the back saying that a digital master was used for parts of the disc.
Does anyone have more specific information about this?

1) Which tracks were digitally mastered?
2) Was there a specific reason for this?
3) What are the technical specs of the digital master?
4) Does this apply to all Equinoxe LPs, even those without any note on the cover?

Did they even have digital mastering in '77/'78? I find it really odd that Equinoxe would originally have been partially mixed digitally.

I think it's partially digital remastered somewhere in the eighties. But why only partially?

Certainly Equinoxe Part 5 is quite different between the vinyl and CD editions. The original vinyl mix has never appeared on CD AFAIK ...
