If this would happen I'd love to finally have The Sun on the album. Still terrible that wasn't released in album format and only the low quality TDOTS performance

1 January 1970 is the start of the UNIX Time. It means that whoever had inputted the information into the database hadn't bothered including a date. Which is always automatically set to 0 (or 1 January 1970) if no information is given for one reason or another.

Even if a release is in the offing, it wouldn't surprise me if it consisted of a 'Ditchwater' mastering re-issue on CD 1, and a disc of previously released remixes on CD 2, i.e. nothing new ...

I am aware where that date is coming from. And I think it is as relevant as that number "2".
