A77 was used before Equinoxe because he bought B77 for Equinoxe

I wouldn't either - I mean - it's nice and all that to record on tape, but this brings a lot of hassle too... let alone the maintaining of such gear.

Yep- true.
Some say you can add the tape effects with plugins and all that - but nothing beats real analog stuff. Maybe I'll try one day...

Yeah lately I've been trying plugs and it's disappointing how much they don't really do anything to the material, haven't tried Nebula or SoundToys, which people say are supposed to be the best.
This is like the fourth time I've ventured into toying around and testing tape plugs, but they always disappoint against the real thing.
