Well yes it is confirmed! Jean Michel Jarre will be on stage at the Carthage Festival August 12, 2013.

Lovers of great shows have the chance to see them live this world-renowned artist who has managed over the years to differentiate by his love of music and technology. It has combined the two brilliantly to convey to his audience that childhood love that never left ...

There will be and the starry sky Carthage Festival had better watch out!

Jean Michel Jarre in a few lines ...

Jean Michel Jarre gained international fame in 1977 with the huge success of his album "Oxygene", sold over 18 million copies worldwide.

Extraordinary destiny that Jean Michel Jarre, in the wake of another great artist, his father Maurice Jarre, himself a composer of soundtracks for Hollywood movies legend (Doctor Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia ...) Two musicians, two celebrities, father and son, known and recognized worldwide for their great talent.

A pioneer in its field, Jean Michel Jarre has largely contributed to the growth of the greatest musical revolution of the 20th century electronic music. Designing his music by addressing not only through notes, but taking into account also sounds such as Jean Michel Jarre has traced a path of its own, creating a unique musical identity of its kind.

After studying harmony and counterpoint at the Paris Conservatoire, he wanted to reinvent the music in its essence, with his own vision and using the technologies and tools of the time. This avant-garde approach gave birth to the global success of albums like "Oxygene", "Equinoxe", "Magnetic Fields", "Zoolook", "Rendezvous" ... There are more than 80 million albums sold to date on five continents.

Many artists on the contemporary scene quote as a source of influence, such as Air, Moby, Sébastien Tellier, Vitalic ...

Like his musical revolution, he imagined a whole new genre and concert format. Moving away from traditional patterns, Jarre proposed his music and his vision for outdoor more. Often free and open to all, these concerts shows the state of the art depict landscapes, urban or natural, in which they are produced. Each concert is a "work of art panoramic" audible and visual, designed to scale to a unique experience.

These legendary concerts have attracted huge crowds around the globe, breaking attendance records that have allowed him to appear repeatedly in the Guinness Book of Records.

Context often touches on history, politics, environmental commitment, but also socio-cultural events, thus benefiting from very extensive media coverage.

These concerts were held in places extraordinary scoring unusual times: From Red China after Mao to today, Texas in collaboration with NASA after the Challenger tragedy in concert Welcome Pope John Paul II in the city of Lyon (in a historical context of terrorist wave coincides with the predictions of Nostradamus), the saga of London Docklands (with actors such as HRH Diana Princess of Wales or the media mogul and businessman Robert Maxwell, in atrocious weather ...), Poland and Solidarity at the invitation of Nobel Peace Prize to Lech Walesa in Paris for dear Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau's environmental commitment, the Great Pyramids of Egypt for the passage into the new millennium the absolute record of 3.5 million viewers in Moscow ... and his commitment to the United Nations through UNESCO as a Goodwill Ambassador and spokesperson for the environment and education (Water for Life and Education for All). The multi-path angles of this visionary and committed musician offers a fresh look and a unique testimony to our times.

Good sign that. Hope it's question of days. :)

I do also hope JM will intend to play at least a piece from the new album.

Btw, in what function does Edith work (?) for Jean Michel?

It's just a festival. Easy job and easy money. New album for early 2014 and then jmj will have a new standalone show for us :)

Don't spend too much money on a festival show.. Just grab the money and run ;)
