Dear friends,

I ám a new member to this board.

I am quite intrigued by a release I have found already some time ago ( 4 years ).

It is the original Oxygène album but as a dts CD.

Has this ever been officially released ? I have listened to the thing and it looks
very legit. THe multi-channel sound is fantastic.

I cannot find any information of an official release of this dts CD.

A dts CD is basically an Audio CD with dts encoded audio tracks.

That sounds like Oxygene (New Master Recording 2007) DVD, since that ofcourse has DTS.
However the extra audio CD that came with with the limited edition is just stereo.

There do exist DTS cd's, however I never heard Oxygene was produced in this format.
The only hits in Google are torrent files with rips to the 2007 DVD... Are you sure it is a legit cd? You could have posted the record label or #Cat at least..

I was thinking the same thing. It smells like a rip off. Not from the 3D "Live In Your Living Room" lted. DVD set but the one without stereoscopic 3D.
It was sold at same time in a standard CD case with a lower price tag.
That's the official DVD with a DTS track of the classical Oxygene album.

So there is no official release of this ?

Anyway the dts track sounds absolutely wonderful.

There is also a dts CD version of Equinoxe on several torrent tracks.

Oxygène: New Master Recording, also known as Oxygène New Master Recording 2007 and Oxygène (New Master Recording), is a new recording of an album by Jean Michel Jarre released in 2007, marking the 30th anniversary of the worldwide release of his album Oxygène, and is Jarre's fourteenth studio album. It is his first release on EMI Records.

The album was released in three different editions: a 5.1 Music Disc edition featuring the new digital master recording of Oxygène, a CD and 2D DVD special edition featuring Oxygène — Live in Your Living Room DVD (an exclusive private live performance of Oxygène, filmed in Lint, Belgium), and a limited edition CD + 3D DVD featuring Oxygène — Live in Your Living Room DVD in stereoscopic 3D High-Definition, which also includes two pairs of 3D glasses.

-> So it appears that there was a version with a 5.1 Music Disc ( which is equal to
a dts CD ) so it appears to be legit.
