When did you smash your car?

Well...Today I had some trouble parking

I came from the railroad crossing... there was a storm today > 90km/h and just when the road bends to the right the wind came under my car. It started to slide!! Then there was a car on the opposide direction wich I had to avoid otherwise it was definately a frontal crash. I managed to avoid him but I lost control over my car because I hit the right side of the road. I tried to correct the situation but no luck... before I knew it I was on my left side... roled over on to the roof (I saw the ground move in my windscreen) then I spinned clockwise I hit the dirt again.. the car rolled over again and I finally stopped against the tree... Fortunately I have no scratches at all...

The car is total loss... but it saved me :)

Things I learned today are: ALWAYS wear you safetybelt (it helps when you are upside down). Don't put things laying arround in your car. You will see them flying when you start to roll...

I'm glad nothing happened to you. :D Don't know if you can thank God for that, though? :P

I only wreck cars in videogames. Much safer! :P

Thank you all for the replies! I'm 100% OK nothing scratched just some glass in my hair and clothes...

As for God... on the other side of the railroad crossing there is a really small ancient chapel dedicated to Maria.... I do realize I had a lot of luck. This is actually one of my favourite discussions: "coincidence? or fait?"

I was brainwashed from my mom about the belt thing. So I never sit in a car without the belt on. Hope you will be ok!

Well... if God is to thank for getting out of an accident in one piece, then obviously there are lots of people he doesn't care about. :? Or as religious people prefer to put it; "It was his/her time to go."

I think that phrases like "Oh my God!" or "thank God that..." (maybe this second not so often) are used also by ateists or agnostics...it's just like saying "thank fortune that.." (whatever do you understand by the "fortune"). So I wouldn't treat it so literally :D

Although it's possible that somebody here used it thinking really about God and..well, nothing bad with it ;)
