What's the ugliest synthesizer ever built?

That's hard to say but there's a few I don't like. The big rare Yamaha monster everybody likes... I think it is ugly. It looks more like a piece of modern furniture from the 70's.

Looks more like a synthesizer company wants to pay homage to churchs organs.

Ugly synth? Hmmmmm... no real ugly ones, but rather cheap-plastic looking like Korg DW's, Poly800, Wavestations, T series, Yamaha SY's... they look way too toyish to me...

Yamaha PSS serie and other toys like that, it makes me being mad when you say somebody you play synths and they show you a toy like that
Thay think you only choose a sound and play, I don't, I program the sound before, and they can't understand it

Very recognisable and very annoying.. some people say "oh you play keyboards, that's like hitting start and it does all kind of nice things for ya.." they don't know the difference between synths and toyish keyboards... aaarggghhh. And when I show them my studio, they say "you got an awful lot of pianos there..." hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The new Korg "Radias"!!!

Haha! Yes... People don't understand that there can be more buttons on the control panel than keys in the keyboard... "Isn't it meant to play music instead?" Grrr...

Or questions like: "What's the use to have 2 synthesizers?"

Not the ugliest in the world, but I find the SH101 really ugly.

Thats the same with my Mother in law.....she tells everyone i have a studio full of organs!!!!!I keep telling her there SYNTHESIZERS!!(although i do have an organ,but its only 1 out of 16


And she always asks.....Why do you have so many....She seems to think that they all do the same thing.....I keep trying to explain that Just because they al have Black and white Keys there not the Bloody same!!!

I have to agree on that one....Not the ugliest i have seen but i think they should have made an actual KEYBOARD version of it,not build the rack for a semi "meccano" frame!!!!

for 1K i would expect it to be a proper Synth not a Rack in Kit form

the Radias rack on its own is fine,Mount it along with the Keyboard and it looks like they are still Building it,as it look unfinished.

I think Korg were trying to make it look like a Minimoog without actually fully copying its design

Well beleive me those M1,T series/ wavestations are far better quality built instruments than anything today,they actually feel light a pro instrument.
they are far from toys and you can tell that by the Build.....theres more Metal/Aluminium on those than there is plastic,these are from the day when manufacturers cared about there instruments....

theres far too much plastic on synths nowadays....compare the M1 /01 T/WS to anything else thats top end material today they would survive a crash test anyday.....

I've got an M1/O1/WS and would buy these over anything today..there classic machines.

Take a look at the JP8000.....not a metal case in sight!!

This thing is pretty ugly, and the performance controls are in the wrong place:

I don't like the futuristic looking synths Rolans make, such as the V-synths.
