I'm not sure I've posted this in the right section of the forum...
I'm trying to find a decent, but cheap, Christmas present for my brother-in-law. He's a bit of a bedroom DJ and a natural musician, and earlier this year I convinced him to buy a Macbook... It seems only right that we get him something to marry the two together.
I've seen the Korg Nano series and think that these gadgets are priced about right and have a nice bit of Christmas novelty about them. I've also read some of the reviews and it seems like they are quite good products.
I'm closing in on the Nano Pad, as he doesn't have any pads in his current set up but I have a couple of queries:
1) Can you use it with Garageband?
2) Can you use it with Reason?
It already comes with drum machine software but I know he'll want to use it for samples and effects.
If anyone has any advice I'd be most grateful!
