Alrighty then! On special request the live-version of Magnetic Fields 2 for Reason 4 (with the famous and hailed Perrier-solo). Based mostly on the London Docklands live-version. Enjoy people, enjoy!

Very neatly replicated sounds, but those drums have never made me dizzy until now

If only the solo had a littttttle more sustain in the amp env it would've been great!

I'll give it a spin first thing in the morning.
As for the drums (too lazy to check now) - are they really that panned? Never knew KR55's were stereo and seperate drum sounds could be panned individually.

I didn't bother to rewrite the whole track with Joe Hammer's Simmons SDX parts, etc. The claps are really that panned, and they are not from the KR55. The claps are coming from the Fairlight. AFAIK the KR55 doesn't have claps and indeed are mono. In Reason one can pan the drums individually, while JMJ (back in 1981) had to do some very tedious overdubbing to get the drums spaced out in the mix.

Oh, the solo sounds 10 times better now.
This is pretty neatsome. Now some so called 'stage' reverb and you'd rock my pants off!

Seriously? Hard pots and pans yet had to be invented?

Ofcoarse not... but he recorded for example first the kickdrum and snare, then overdubbed it later with the ride-cymbal slightly panned left (or record that on a seperate track), etc. Since the KR55 is mono and has no individual outputs he'd had to do some trickery to make monodrums sound stereo.

I know I know - I was just playing with words
Perhaps he used 6 seperate KR55's. He had plenty of money anyway so I wouldn't bother doing all the overdubblingthenoise if I were him
