Zurich Concert Review!

just came back after having waited for about 3 hours for The Crew to come out of the stadium, but no autographs this time. Kinda sad, but still a nice day. This is a very short review with the most important things. As far as I could recognise, there were about 2000 people in the Hallenstadion, no major out-of-tunes (in fact, none at all or something), no egg-chair in the beginning, but an encore ("Now we are going to play as very last piece the one that we went big with: Oxygène 4") !!.

The sound was great, but for my taste too loud sometimes. In the end, Jarre left us with many repetitions of "We're going to be back very, very soon, and then outdoor!"

Merchandise they sold were CDs / DVDs (GOL, Oxygène New Master Recording CD and CD 2D DVD), Téo & Téa, Aero CD+DVD, Symphonic Jarre, Jarre In China 2DVD+CD and Solidarnosc Live DVD+CD), keyrings, necklaces, many different Tshirts, Programs and Posters (yes Gert, yours was there as well)....

Bit of a pity that it didn't work out with the autographs, but we then left at about 01AM after having waited since about 10PM at the back exit of the Hallenstadion parking lot. About 30 people were waiting there for them to come out for us.

Saw (but did not recognise) some people from "Aerozone" (Vincent?) but did not talk to them. I guess that was about it...... Now I am gonna go to sleep. Bonne nuit!

You'd better have stocked some GoL CDs then. They are getting pretty rare.

Hello all,

Zürich was a really great ending for the tour!
I would estimate 2-3000 people in the audience, although I did not see a single concert poster in Zürich. The stage was in the middle of the Hallenstadion and it was huge! Jean Michel entered the stage from behind the people by running through the audience. There were no real technical problems with the instruments and he played the usual set (Oxygene 1-6+Variations, Oxygene 12&13) and as a surprise he played as second encore Oxygene 4 again. After the end (Jean Michel was still onstage) Fiona came on stage with a video camera and filmed the fans in front of the stage.
Finally we were able to meet all the musicians (including JMJ) and Fiona and got some autographs. Jean Michel and Claude seemde to be a little tipsy 8)
Although Jean Michel promised at the end of the concert to come back soon and outdoor next time, Francis told me that there are no specific plans for a concert in Switzerland. "Maybe next year" he said. Also, he told us that there are no plans for a new album. So we'll have to wait and see.
Thomas Gruberski (who played at a few Jarre fan conventions in the past) was with us and we had a great time. Thank you Jean Michel for this great tour!

Report (in German) and photos will follow soon on www.jarrelook.de

Regards
Matthias

No plans for a new album ?

That's strange, because JMJ said in many interviews , that the new album is on the way.

Well, actually that's what he always says, isn't it?
I think, we'll have to wait and see. He surely has to reflect the whole tour and then we'll see what he's doing next. I think it's a good sign, that Dominique is back in the team again.

Best regards
Matthias
