Yes the G2 can do so much more, but if you want the classic Nordsound, you won't find it 100% in the G2. I even remember G2 owners from the VSE forum being disappointed with the G2, as they were expecting the "classic" sound. It is said that the 2X is smoother than the NL and NL2 (including the first modulars), but it's on another level, as they are still based on the same engine and character, where the NL3 and G2 are in another category.
