The new Roland Fantom G has been announced... There's a video, you can find the specifications.

Seems it's gonna be a killer workstation... It sucks... Makes me feel poor with my "old" Fantom X.

Maybe I should sell most of my synths and carry on with a Fantom G7.

Well... I'm going to wait until it's actually available and then wait a bit more and then I'll take some kind of decision about what I might consider to do. Buy a Fantom G or just buy some new computer/audio equipment (probably the wisest option).

Although I find out of the board both Korg Oasys and Roland Fantom G sounding somewhat cold (in the sense of "I've heard it before and... yawn", Oasys seems like a wiser investment in this context (synthesis and workstation), since it's expansion capabilities (warm physical modelation analog and hybrid engines) and Karma engine (cool but predictable at some stage) outperform Roland's usual "great warmth with wow factor rigth out the box".

I know the Oasys though, not the FG yet, just comparing by seeing the video, so do not take me too seriously...
