Metros were working fine yesterday (13th). Great gig - my online review will be on the relevant thread sometime today - JMJ's best ever for me

For me, what I witnessed yesterday was the best concert I've ever seen. This was a man at ease with his craft, and playing as well as anyone could expect.

The sceneography at the stage was perfect. Each track had it's own lighting style e.g. moody for Part 1, and frenetic for Part 12. The drop down mirror for Part 4 was a nice touch - it was great to see all the musicians at once. Another nice touch was JMJ's entrance, with the '60's egg-shaped chair, and his acknowledgement of the fans who travelled from abroad. :D

The sound was also superb, the Maringy's space idealy suited to the soundscapes being played, with superb stereo effects and bass - notwithstanding the few problems with JMJ's sequencer and Francis' keyboard explained by other above :)

I had no problem with JMJ being 'in the zone'. It shows he cares about what really matters to me - the music. The arrangements for the music were slightly different than the DVD, with allowances for more improvisation - a good thing too, as the musicians - especially JMJ took full advantage.

The new sequencer section introducing Part 12 was stunning.

I was speechless after the whole concert - IMO it was THAT good.

For those of you who were there last night, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and for those who going at a later date - the wait will be worth it - I promise :D

A few photos will be online soon :)

Tracklist:

Prelude
Oxygene I
Oxygene II
Oxygene III
Variation I
Oxygene IV
Variation II
Oxygene V
Variation III
Oxygene VI
Oxygene XII (with new extended** sequencer intro)

** Brilliant :D

The 21st is mentioned especially in the Program. Something about dedicated to a foundation (see the spoilers section on this board for that date). Let us know what there's going to be.
