Change and WHY

"Why" made more of an impact on me,I prefer that of the 2 tracks,but there both superb works,What gear you used...

Change is nice, I like the vocoder, and the sound in the beginning is awesome, I had forgotten to take the sound of my amp a bit below, so the subwoofer shout very hard, amazing
Is it a real Mellotron you have used ?
I guess you have used your amazing analog gear, right ?
Sounds a bit like Kraftwerk sometimes
Sounds very good, I like it !!


I love the drumtrack of WHY (which drumbox ? ), the vododer sounds like the one Karl Bartos uses, amazing, what did you use ?
When there is this guitar like sound, the background sound is the same used for Oxygène, is it the Eminent phased ?
I prefer that one to Change, but I have to say I like both, very very good job dear !

Are there any other tracks we can listen ?

No, unfortunately not a real Mellotron but the closest I can get with a resonable sounding VSTi plugin.

Synthi was used for the claps etc... used the 2600 of course and the PE1000 and 2000. Drums = Linndrum with added SynthiFX... FX are all VSTe's (as usual) and the vocoder... is no electronic vocoder (read below)...

It's Moi/KW/Jarre mixed with funk... kinda like it... it was a Funk experiment.

The drumbox used on Why is one of my other favorites. The ELKA Drummer One. So darn analog

You are the second that refers to Bartos.... intresting... since the vocoder is infact a _mechanical_ 'vocoder'. If we do sound so close I can only conclude we must have used the same technique... right down to the same carrier (DX7)... The vocoder is actually a poor mans vocoder

The background sound ala Oxygene is NOT done with a phaser nor the eminent.

Why, unfortunately, is autobiographical in nature...:/

I'm working on more stuff but I'll doubt you are gonna like it since it uses a Rhodes piano and Chello's for instance

I have never heard of your drumbox, and even Google doesn't know it very much (only 2 poor links )
And I have not understood what your vocoder is about

Hmm... actually I may like the new project you talk about better than this (don´t like blip-blops so much), as I´ve used a cello before.

It's written for 3 cello's. in 2 parts (for now but I'll guess I add some more)... one none rhythmic and the others are... slow tempo just 72bpm...

Nico: I use my mouth to shape the sounds... my mouth acts as a natural vowel filter... now what 'instrument' could do that
A real vocoder does the same... but then electronically... but you can have more things as source then just your mouth...

I got the ELKA Drummer one by accident. There are just a few left I guess... Google does not know much about it that's true..

Mine is all black though in some sort of gig box... and different knobs/slidercap on the right side the other volume knobs for the sounds are identical.

Shame the lyrics of WHY are my own experiences due to the Multiple Sclerosis.... for me it wasn't funny not to see with my eye anymore or not able to walk or use my arms/hands anymore... fortunately a lot is repaired due to my own body or I would had to use my mouth to type this message from my wheelchair...

I really like "Why" Especially from 1:17 to the end You used great sounds
And like your "Change". You joined Kraftwerk's and JMJ's style very well I've never heard sth like that before
