Dave Smith Instruments have a new synth coming out, and a return to a classic (by the looks of things)

I knew about this quite a while, I guess I should've posted something.
I've seen another full picture of it and it looks LUSH. If I had the money... definitely.

Ouch, yeah, you'll definitely miss that MS20. The other stuff can be replicated easily with software, but not le MS20. Hope you get enough money to buy another one after the (oh so lovely) Prophet 08.

Nah, the only thing with the MS20 that I'll miss is the dual filter. IMO the MS20 looks far more cool than it actually is soundwise. The way I used it I could easily have replaced it with a SCI Pro One or maybe an Yamaha CS15. I will probably get a DSI MEK later.
I also got bored with the CR-78 not having the programmer. To put a midi-kadi system would cost far more than I thought it was worth.
Evolver is a really great synth. But I only used the analog part of it so I'm better off with an 8-voice polyphonic version of that. I will miss the crazy delay. But I have external effects too.
Korg ES-1 mk.II will be replaced shortly by an AKAI MPC-500. Won't miss it at all.
Midines was only a cool gadget. Not something I actually used very much.
To me - this is the end now for vintage gear. Most of those machines are getting really old now (the MS20 is 30 years old next year!) and they will have more problems as time goes by. Besides that the prices will continue to rise into even more idiotic areas. Not being able to fix even minor problems myself it's stupid to hold on to old gear.
That is why I wanted a new fresh thing that still is and sounds analog. I'm very happy that they actually make new analogs. Music and needs is what matters in the end.
