"These remixes are NOT released on CD yet". I guess the author of teh youtueb video means no releases 8)

Or maybe they're just P2P mismatches.

I remember Jip gave me them some days ago, they were extracted from a radio broadcast in which Gigi was invited, he was introducing the tracks ;)

At least it clears the case about the DJ Quicksilver version of Equinoxe 4, which is another track just a little more hardstyle-ish. I was surprised how he didn't turn these into completely other tracks.

was anything unclear about DJ Quicksilver's versions of "Equinoxe 4"?

I think someone earlier said it was Gigi D'Agostino so I thought it was the typical p2p phenomena 8)

These remixes are NOT released on any cd/vinyl or whatever. They are only broadcasted once at Radio M2o, where Gigi is the home-dj.
I'm trying to find some more info about 'em, and it would be nice to find them somewhere in better quality...

Last week I also asked the same on the Dutch JMJ forum. ;-)

I've send an email to the Italian radio station M2o with some questions regarding the playlists and if any of the Gigi mixes in particular will be released or in some way can be legally downloaded (ie PodCast).

Still haven't heared from them.
I'll keep you posted.

It's a shame though the mixes are short and are polluted by the voices of the DJ.

Let's try to find somebody close to Gigi, and ask him to make some new remixes? :) :P

That's a fantastic Remix. 8) Thanks Clubmix for putting the two links up. At first I did find the voice irritating but after listening to it a few times the voice blends well with the track. Be nice to see it on a CD or a good quality MP3 file.

Hi All, I registered some time before but this is actually my first post here :P

I am the creator of that youtube movie, so I'll give you some more info about it.
The reason I made it is because almost nobody seemed aware of the existence of those 3 remixes.
so I wanted to introduce them to Jarre fans, and at the same time make a visual treat to the Gigi fans as well, to introduce them a bit more to Jarre (yes, he still needs an introduction to some people :o )

The problem is he has a 50 minutes radioshow and wants to play as much records as possible, so most songs are only played for 1.5 or 2 minutes (mixed together).
This means no clean cut of either song exists!
So I mixed the audio from various shows toghether, if you listen closely you can hear that Oxygene was made from 3 different takes, Equinoxe was 3, and Oxy8 was 2.
I tried to cut as much of the voice as possible (it's Gigi D'Agostino's).
The Equinoxe 4 intro he only played once on the radio, unfortunately with too much talking.

Oxygene 4 was played on these dates:
17-09-2005, 24-09-2005, 08-10-2005, 15-10-2005, 22-10-2005

Equinoxe 4:
01-12-2006, 02-12-2006, 05-12-2006, 06-12-2006, 07-12-2006, 08-12-2006, 11-12-2006, 16-12-2006, 14-02-2007, 11-05-2007

Oxygene 8:
14-10-2006, 16-10-2006, 17-10-2006, 18-10-2006, 19-10-2006

This song has also been played:
Jean Michel Jarre - Pop Corn (01-05-2006)
However I don't have that recording, so I cannot tell wether it is the Jamie Jefferson version, Kingsley's or just another cover.
Actually I don't think it's Jarre's version, that is a bit too obscure, so more likely it's a misnomer.

Gigi has stated he has been influenced by Jarre in his youth, and is a fan :D
However don't count on these mixes ever to be released physically, Gigi makes 2 or 3 new tracks a week, so he already has over 100 unreleased songs on the shelves
Besides licencing is another issue.

He also made a dance version of Vangelis' Chariots of Fire (Titles), but I think it is a bit weak.
Hope this clears things up!

Do you have better recordings of that remixes then? I only have the radio-broadcast recordings....
