Here are a small selection of images taken this weekend showing the natural disaster that has hit Great Britain. After 9 weeks of heavy rains, swollen rivers, lakes and canals finally burst their banks, resulting in the greatest flooding that the U.K has ever seen.

Anyone been caught up with this? I live in Stroud about half an hour's drive south of Gloucester. We havent been affected except for transport (getting home from school on Friday took us an hour) so I think we're very lucky. Tewkesbury is an island.

Leamington Spa, the town where I live - pictures here.

Gosh I am lucky that it has not actually affected me as I live a bit of a distance away from the areas flooded. It’s touch and go here. :|

My town hasn't been affected. Maybe that's because the town is sat on top of a hill.

I'm luck too as I live at the top of a hill in Truro, but this was the city centre back in 1988,just round the corner from the shop I work in.
