Well, after thinking about getting
one of these for quite a while now, I think I'm gonna seriously save for it. I remember someone here (can't remember their name, sorry!) having one of these along with their modular system.
The cheapest I've found this beast for is £600 from the US shop
Big City Music. Anyone know if I can find it cheaper? Or is anyone willing to sell one soon?

This is what I need to do, demo it! It's easy finding it on the internet, but I haven't seen one in a shop or anything yet!
However, Sound Control appear to be selling them now and they're pretty good at getting stuff in to demo.

If I remember correctly, Per Kristian told me it had pretty crappy sounds from itself and didn't allow sampling from other sources. A newer model allows 2mb of user samples... wooaah.. how generous

Hmm, he must not have got the UserWave version then....
I'm pretty sure it doesn't sound crappy......

Definitely, I am myself!!!
The seller told me he'd ship it on Monday, and the shipping is 3 day international, so it could well arrive on my birthday, Thursday. Only problem is I'm going on holiday to Cornwall for a week on the Saturday. I might have to sneak it away with me!

Modular and MD that might be me
Only down side of the MD IMO is the lack of OMPH in the bass region. Not an TR-808 killer in other words. But I got both so I wont sell the MD.
