It's not your program. TR909 hihats are crappy.

They're too thick and klunky for my taste!

They're not electronic sounding enough for me. I need robotic zing zang pow hihats.

I don't see the excitement about TR909, perhaps the BD's and SD's, but when it comes to hihats, I'd rather use TR606 or MC303. (Needless to say, I'm talking about samples).

At the moment, the "The Electro Age - Drum Hits" samples are a hit to me!

We just have different tastes. I like the 909 hihats because the other TR hihats sound too weak for my taste, but on the other hand it depends on what genre or track it is.

Anyway Akai made some samples for the MPC-1000 which were pretty good.

TR909 hihats aren't really crappy, but I think they really only fit 90s eurotrash music like Haddaway or 2 Unlimited

Don't forget Daft Punk. Most of the beats on the album Homework was done with a 909, and it would never have been the same with other drummachines.

Chronologie is full of it

Weird, I never really thought about that except from Chronologie 6, but JMJ is also known for for putting so much atmosphere into a track so no particular sound is taking over, but that is another talk

All 909 sounds are looooooooooovely . Too bad I don't have one
