Hi all

This one was really hard but finally I've finished Oxygene 2 track Hope You'll enjoy and really I'd like to hear Your opinions about it.

First of all I'd like to thank to:
- Vincent / Sacha - FrequenZ - I've used the midi file of the "cosmic sequence"[posted on jarre.net or maybe here - don't remember] where Vince showed 2 places where the tape was cut. Their cover was also great because of horn/oboe sequence, which was really clear! So I was able to learn and play it simulateusly on my 310U! Thank You once more!
- Christian Rossle - I'd like to thank You for helping me with all those FX's and few other things! [bass and seq clues]

Some things like plucks, oboe etc are not quantized... Ain't human sequencer to play all this without mistakes

I think that second solo is played right... Many "hard" notes can be heard on Oxy2 from AERO album

- Eminent 310 Unique - strings, plucks, oboe/horn
- Korg Minipops 7 - main rhytm
- Arturia ARP 2600 - second solo, bass, wind
- Roland JV-2080 + Vintage Card - "cosmic sequence", mellotron
- EH Smallstone Phaser

I think it's my best cover so... ENJOY!

The original cover was mixed in 96KHz and when it was converted to 48KHz 320kbps mp3 some high frequencies got louder. I know it's strange but My converter suxxx

Sorry I am a non-musician so this may not help. But your cover is very close to the original. Are you sure Jean Michel is not in your studio?

I haven't got anything at all to complain about!
You keep amaze me more and more every time you've droped a cover...
This one gave me the BIG shiver and I'm still a bit wet in my right eye.
This is what I would like to call "how to polish a full-cut crystal"!!

Dude ~ this sucks. I mean. I know a track by a Jean Michel Jarre which sounds juuuust like this...

Just a few mix pointers..

Sequence is too loud,you can only just hear it in Jarre version,Seq volume lowers as White noise comes in and seem to sit low on Jarre's mix Volume,with the delayed part being more up front for the rest of the track your seq seems to attenuate when Eminent Plucks/Minipops kick in

Eminent Pad is too prominent on the Flute solo,sit it lower down in the mix so the underlying Horn melody(on yours there are a few notes of the melody missing),you have to listen real hard to hear Jarres Eminent string block chords on his mix,which suggests it low down in the Mix and only there to add a little space and presence

Just a bit more work with the Placement of VCS efx ...overkill a little..What synth did you use for those??Timbrally its as close as you could get without the real instruments for most sounds

Possibly the Best "Clone" of the album version I've ever heard You should be really proud of your effort man its awesome


Only thing.......

What about your great Aero Pad intro,Your aero Pad on the Aero Oxy2 version is really wicked,how about adding it to this! version

I'd still say the replica projects are at least just as nice, so keep it up. Covers and replicas are two different projects. A cover is more like a remix where you are showing your own creativity. A replica is a test to see how close you can get on the originals. At least that's how I look at this.

Yeah.

Anyway - making remix is OK, You can use Your own ideas etc... But making replica is a bit complicated and [for me] it's a real challenge. I like makin replicas

Espectacular cover!!!!!!!

Ok so here's the deal when some guy says here's my cover you simply open the link. When Radek says "Here's a cover I've made" it's a totally different story... guys like Radek really raise the bar with expectations. Not only did you meet the already high Radek expectations but managed to exceed them with this cover! Bravo Sir Radek! Oh crap I think I just knighted you... Seriously good stuff here.

I didn't know you performed live, wish I was able to make a show! Keep up the interstellar work and be sure to remember the little people when you've made it big!!!! Covers like this make me want to sell all my gear and find a new hobby. Perhaps gardening or crochet????
