The first owner was Mister Gerard, back then he lived in Saint Tropez. I was able to track him down using a contact at Dreyfus music. I have had email contact with him, as I didn't have the guts to call him, and I was afraid he didn't speak english. His english was very good, but once the email contact was established, I didn't bother calling him. Anyway, he didn't tell me why he bought it, so I can't confirm this near-death-experience-story. He didn't tell me why and for how much he sold it, but he did tell me he sold it to a friend of his, going by the name of Ducroix. So I asked him for contact details, to which he replied he would try to establish a contact between us. It took a huge while before I got in contact again, Gerard told me that he was unable to establish a contact between Ducroix and me, simply because Ducroix wasn't interested: he had already sold the LP and although he did know the 3rd owner, he didn't want to give any contact details or details about the selling price or anything whatsoever. I tried a few times after that, and Gerard responded very kindly, saying he wanted to help me track down the original LP. I did ask a few times about progress, but he told me he hadn't been able to dig any further and that's where I stopped searching. I do have a very reliable source saying the original master tapes still excist, though. And I do know who the owner is.
