Do any schematics exsist for the portable circulair Jarre used at PLD.

Yeah, probably, but the instrument was specially designed for JMJ. There's only one of those.

And my question would be :
Where is it NAOW ?

Somewhere at one of JM's houses or studios.

Why do you need the exact Schematics of the LAG model???Its only a Midi controllor,you could modilfy any Schematics from an already existing Midi controllor to fit into the case


You could gut a Roland AX-1 and modify those components to fit into a Case similar to the Lag...

The Schematics are only a representation of the Components used and there flow and how they circuit together

If you had the Schematics of the AX-1 you could easily build your own PCBs to fit into a special casing

I still want a PLD portable myself

About the Circulaire, you can buy an old PSR synth and then only keep keys and MIDI part, and then replace keys by homemade ones

You could either, as mentioned, recase an existing MIDI controller or you could:
1. Build each key to be a switch.
2. Connect them all to one of these. (You might have to change it to allow several octaves, I'm not sure whether this design will do several octaves...)
3. Now you've got a CV output, if you want a MIDI output, buy a CV - MIDI converter.

I did 'roughly' set out to create one a couple of years back, but hit a dead end due to time. But due to health issues, I am now working from home and I have some spare time on my hands, so I am looking back into creating one just for my persoanl pleasure (imagine one hanging from your livingroom wall).

Last year I was lucky enough to pick up a spare AX-1 that was brought into a music store I was in at the time. The guy said it was his brothers who had moved from the UK to overaseas. The AX-1 did not work, due to this the shop said they didn't want it. After he left the shop, I stopped him on the street and offered him £50 which he excepted. All that was wrong was one of the leads from the PCB had come lose. Connected, works fine. I already have a red AX-1 from new (1995) and I was going to sel this other one on eBay, but decided I could put it to better use - for this project.

Regarding the schematics, I am looking for some as plans need to be drawn up to get the right scale and curve of the body and keys. Having something like this would be easy to go from, but I have not found anything, even a nice full-on profile image of the LAG so I can blow it up to size and work from that. I have a friend who works in electronics and has offered to help with the board, so thats a load off my mind.

I asked about schematics incase someone on here may know of someone who had created one at some point.
