Blu-ray Disc or HD-DVD?

It's a "hot potato" in many forums, but I find it interesting;
What do you think is going to be the main media format in the future (of these two) and why do you think the manufacturers has choosen to make two different formats?
The first HD-DVD player is allready here and the first Blu-ray player is expected to be launched at the end of June. HD-DVD seems to be cheeper allthough BRD seems to be the standard who have more companys involved in the manufacturing.

Dunno what I'd prefer, but the cheapest system will win! VHS vs. Betamax... Betamax was the better system, but VHS was cheaper. And everyone know who won that war. :P

I think it's that new technology that PS3s going to be using in it's DVDs. I think. Don't quote me on it.
