As 2006 draws to a close what were your top news stories of the year? Here's a few to start you off....
Saddest story- The death of everyones favourite aussie Steve Irwin.
Most remarkable story- Natascha Kampusch, the girl kidnapped and held in a basement for eight years.
Worst sporting performance- A toss up between England in the World Cup (again) or England losing the Ashes.
Best good news story- Kylie makes full recovery from breast cancer and returns to the stage
(she's still not returning my phone calls though
)
Most amazing/shocking story- Isabelle Dinoire, the French woman who received the world's first face transplant
Funniest news story- IT expert Guy Kewney was due to be interviewed on BBC News 24 about the Apple vs Apple court case. But a producer actually found Guy Goma, a graduate from the Congo, who was in reception for a job interview.
The wrong Guy was thrust on air and the expression on his face as he heroically attempted to answer the questions was priceless. He described his ordeal as "very stressful" but said he was "happy to speak about any situation".
Now it's over to you... what were your top stories of 2006?
