Hello everyone,

I finally decided to sell my two Eminent organs, the Eminent 300 and the Eminent 500 Deluxe., which produce the sound very similar to the original to the Oxygene and Equinoxe albums as you might know. (check out Johan Schurer's web site to find out the difference between the 300 and 310U). The organs are to be picked up in Antwerp. The main difference is that the 300 lacks the string ensemble, I thought.

Yeah you're right. There's no string ensemble in either of those 2 models.

Good for spares though if you already have a 310!!

If this guy was in the UK I'd have bought one of them to keep for spare parts

Although it has the Other Tab sounds that Jarre used personally an Eminent 300/500 without the SE doesn't really appeal to me other than for part salvaging

The SE is the Jewel in the crown of the Eminents other than that,there pretty mediocre..

Well I was kind of hoping you would donate yours!!!

After all if you carry an Organ Donor card them I'm entitled to it!!!!

sure the Eminent 300 does not have the strings section from the 310 U however it does have the typical Eminent string sound already which was also used by Air, Paolo Conte or Christophe. The string sound is quite "dirty" which passed through the small stone makes it just beautiful because of that raw, dirty sound. Passing a string pad from the Jd-800 through the small stone makes no sense, it will add nothing spectacular. With the Eminent 300 you can easily create the chorus melody of Oxygene 2 and Equinoxe 4, the strings of Oxygene 13, Equinoxe 4 and Oxygène 7, etc etc. Sure it's not te real thing, but very close and there aren't many 310 U organs on the market these days anymore The Eminent 300 also has a chorus (very heavy) that wasn't used on 310 anymore, because it was too heavy and they needed 'space" for the Chorus section.

I can tell that this is not really true...

well it's a question of taste. what I mean is, the jd-800 has already got a lot of integrated effects (chorus, delay, echo, etc etc), so passing it through a small stone has less effect than passing a dry, unfinished sound such as the Eminent organs. From what I have learned the past years with working with several pedals like small stone or Electric Mistress etc, the worse the sound is without effect, the better it sounds processed through it. But taste does change from person to person, thankfully

Thats the Interpretation of the Term Effect,any dry sound will be Enhanced and sound better...Because Our ears prefer Movement in sound rather than static waveforms

You can easily switch off the Fx Processors in the JD800 and pass it thru the SS which will enhance the pure sound

To me the SE on the Eminent sounds nice on its own without external modification...

the Eminents have internal efx anyway,Reverb/Brightness(Timbre)Chorus and Tremolo
