The news networks here in the U.K are busy with the latest news after a huge tornado has caused severe damage to the North West of London. The tornado hit at 11am today, causing huge amount of damage, estimated over a 100 homes badly damaged and left a dozen people injured.

I was left stunned by not only the amount of damaged caused, but due to the fact it happened in a built up residentual area outside the city.

It is ironic that a tornado hit Birmingham (U.K) this time last year causing almost the same amount of damage and again in a residentual area. Proof of the ever changing weather we are experiencing here in the U.K. . . . The shape of things to come.

I thought tornados couldn't live in these areas of the world.

We have had them before in the U.K. But the last couple of years has seen a increase not only in tornado's but in size.

They are nothing like those you see in the American mid-west, these are a lot smaller, but still cause great damage. From the news reports here in the U.K, what has suprised the weather men more about this is the fact it has started in a bulit up area (houses) instead of out in the open.

Suprisingly, we have also had earthquakes too. Where I live, we had one back in 2002. They are only mild earth tremors, nothing serious.
