A time ago I decided to build a theremin. It costed a lot of time to get all the components together, but now I have everything, and started today with etching the PCB...

The etching process went very good! The PCB looks beautiful! (unfortunately I don't have a digital camera here).

If you already have an iron and a soldering braid, it costs you about 60 euro's. (Much less than the 350 you pay for an Etherwave).
I'm just finished with etching, and that's not very difficult. That's what I can say for now. The tune is controlled by an antenna, the volume by an handheld solar-cell.

60€ is not too expensive for such a great instrument

Hmm, I know that the Australian company Jaycar Electronics do a much cheaper theremin kit (£20-£30 as I remember) with proper ariels.Nico_Noyau wrote:60€ is not too expensive for such a great instrument

They also do a proper theremin kit with all the tone controls, etc, for:

The power comes from an adaptor I think. Not sure about a battery....

Almost finished with soldering (only that capacitor is resting). Then I have to make coils and mount the pot's and antennae. And then... It's finished!
