I have always loved this electronic-drum, do you think it is an expensive drum ?

Yes if I could play drums, I would just have to own one of these. Simmons made one of the coolest 80's electronic drums. The SDS-V is probably the most classic in that serie.

In a synth DIY book I've bought is a complete description of making your own electronic (simmons-like) drums.

Yes it sounds cool, but I think I would end up with something looking like Kraftwerks foiled DiY drums.

They're not too expensive. I've seen a set for sale for about 500 euros.

Question is - can you drum?
Personally I'd prefer using samples to obtain such sounds.

But I thought : does midi drums exist ? to use with my computer as a sampler with Simmons samples

Yes MIDI drums does exist, ddrum or Roland for instance.

Not exactly the same sound, but the end 70's electronic drums sounds. But... It's in dutch...

Schematics, pictures of the pcb and a description of it. Bought it for 4 euro's on Ebay
