Amazon UK Money Saving Tip

Read carefully and you may save a few quid.

What’s the deal?

Amazon* requires a £15 minimum spend to get its free 'Supersaver' delivery, so if you’re just falling short of this amount you have to pay money for nothing. Yet there's a nifty little tool to help you make up the difference; great for stocking fillers too!

How does it work?

Simply go to the Amazon Filler Item Finder (link below) and enter the extra amount needed to get free shipping. You’ll then see a list of all the items with prices closest to the cost of the difference.

Buying more can save you cash!

Bizarrely, it’s often cheaper to buy something extra than buy nothing and pay hefty postage fees. For instance buy a hairdryer for £14 and you’d have to pay £5.88 P&P, a total of £19.88.

Yet a quick search on the Amazon Filler Finder (link below) reveals you could buy ‘Winnie-the-Pooh's Little Book of Wisdom’ for £1.25, taking you up to the £15 threshhold. Yet you'd only pay a total of £15.25 – saving £4.63 and getting a book into the bargain!

One thing to be careful of though, if you're using the marketplace sellers (second hand) sometimes this may not count towards the free delivery, so its always worth checking.

Good tip. I have tried this a couple of times in the past with them. That 2nd item, if you don't want it, use it as a gift or sell it on eBay.
