Hi,

Sometimes you can read "Remix" on CDs and sometimes not, but are they the same tracks ?
Which ones have remix, which one have not ?

Regards,
Nicolas

The re-issue of the zoolook album from 1985 have remixes of zoolook and zoolookologie by Francois Kervorkian and Ron St Germain. They have not appeared on any other issue as far as I know. I did listen to those remixes quite a while ago, but I don't remember any big differences to the original tracks. At least they're not those 12" remixes, that's for sure ;)

I noticed one thing between the Zoolookologie original and remix versions. Second part or what you can call this of the humanlead is fading in on one of the versions. Correct me if Im wrong.

Yes - plus the bass is diferent too, the remix of Zoolookologie has a lot more natural Bass Guitar (and some slap) in it. The drums are different on Zoolook and there is also more Bass here also. They are quite different when you listen to them together. My LP was not the remixed version. My cassette and also my original Polygram CD were remixed versions. But funny that the Sony / Scott Hull Masterdisc version does not have the remix of Zoolook / Zoolookologie on it just the original 1984 version... it's nice to have both though

Also the track running order differs too I seem to remember.

And that's what they call a "remix" . Nowadays we call something a remix when there's a trancebeat under it, and the track is almost unrecognizable.

In the 80's there were many remixes like this, I never really found out why, because they were used as album versions and nothing big is changed. But I have no idea why album tracks are remixed. Sometimes it depends on where on the earth it is released.

This 80s style of extended remixing rawks... look at Eq4, Zoolook, Zoolookologie, RV4, Revolutions and Calypso... pure awesomeness in a jar 8)

Not in a jar, on a disc (forgive me my smart-ass-ness) :) Equinoxe and Revolutions are indeed relaaaaaaxed, but the others don't have too many difference to the original.
