Hello freakies,

I was wondering how "Metamorphoses" was percepted abroad.
Do you like it? and Why ?

Personally, I do like it because it is a long, heterogen styled album (Dance, Techno, Ambient and Electronica).
All the tracks are different but they all have this state-of-the-art electronic sound that makes it so special.
I listen to it all the time, especially enjoying tracks like "Gagarine", "Rendez-vous a Paris", "Millions of stars", "Je me souviens", and "c'est la vie". I think this album reveils a different side of our favourite music composer !!!

Now it's your turn !!

Im an old school Jarre fan. I grew up listening to his pre-Oxygene material, then onto his Oxygene/Equinoxe era so the META album, thou refreshing to listen too due to Jarre's new musical route, I prefere his old styles. It's not one of his best albums, but it's certainly not one of his worst.

It's a good album and all, but I prefer the synth-o-ramas up to and including Oxygene 7-13.

One could assume so, but even Aero doesn't have the synth-o-rama feeling that pre-Oxy713 albums have. I sure hope the new album will bring some of that mood back.

Metamorphoses album is great :!: :!:

I really like Je me souviens (the use of Laurie Anderson on vocals makes the track perfect for me), C'est la vie (Natacha Atlas singing is outstanding), Rendez-vous à Paris (Sharon Corr on violin is the best), Hey Gagarin, Millions of Stars, Tout est bleu, Bells, Miss Moon and Gloria, Lonely Boy. Having JMJ on vocals is a plus for the album.:D

Might want to look here: viewtopic.php?t=318&start=0 as there was already a thread about what you think about Metamorphoses.
