Hi,

As you know, I own the website www.jarredatabase.free.fr and sometimes the speed is very slow...
So, I would like to make a FTP at my home, but I don't want to have a computer running 24/24 7/7, that's why I want to know if an external HDD case can do it.

I have found the Vantec NexStar LS, but I dunnow if it can be a FTP server...

Do you have an idea ?

Regards,
Nicolas

Is 10 GB really enough for you?
To me it sounds like a good idea and I assume that the transfer rate to the net is as fast as possible. I guess you could maybe hub many of them together if you'll need more space? 8)

10Gb ?
In fact, I would like to buy only a case, because I will use a 120Gb IDE Hard Disk ;)
I have only 100Gb of files now, so no problem :P

Yours seems to be not a FTP server... (no TCP/IP protocol)

I think I'll buy this one :
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... Track=true

But it seems I have to create folders with the interface, I can't transfert them easily...
What do you think ?
