Define "Groove".
I don't get it either. :? What you hear, after the 'intro' in sample 1, is also heard in sample 2 & 3, only with added strings, leads, etc.

Listening more closely to it I guess it´s the same, but I think the rest of the rythm section is drowning very much when all the synths come in. You almost just hear/get the feeling of only the basedrum & the snaredrum, which IMO sounds more like soldiers on parade: 1-2 1-2 1-2 1-2 1-2 etc... You get my point?

This is why I am almost sure that this IS Jarre and NOT a remix, c´os a remixer would have made the beat more groovy´er I think!

The funky groove is just not Jarre´s thing! 8) :P

Who was behind the drum programming on Metamorphoses? Joachim Garraud...

Didn't it use to be more like "bossanova" in the hands of Jarre? :mryellow:

The third excerpt sounds like somebody has simply put together the first and second clips without caring if there might be some information between the two...
Maybe it's not supposed to sound like that? Ah just a thought... :)

Well, there you have it!!

Yeah, this new excerpt is just putted together by the two previous ones! 8)

But why, I don´t know?

I think the drums only drown cos of the bad quality.

Well, Jarre made a jazz-ish album, if you're lucky he'll make a funky one. :P :mryellow:

All sample in MP3 is FAKE!!

"on a seperate note, someone passed to me the 2 "exerpts" yesterday, so i sent them to Dunkie who in turn passed them to Patrick Pelamourges this morning who had them verified that they were NOT the single by JMJ"

I'm about to deactivate Ralf's account for a while. He spreads rumours, then tells they are fake, then they are true... I'm getting a bit confused of it. It's annoying.

Opinions please.

I'll try to have REAL news by my side to know the truth because it's quite the mess with all these informations real one day and fake the day after...

I'll stay passive, but can't they release that single now? :x all this guessing and new teaser samples popping up is getting irritating.

I have some sources, but I won't bother them asking them about this single.. they are told to not release any info anyway.

Well, if you want infos, just contact your local record seller and ask him if he knows something titled "Teo&Tea", maybe he will know (I hope he will !!)

I have tried the X8 yesterday, I don't like weighted keys, but in fact, it's not too bad !
It is bad only when you play soli and pads, but sounds are excellent, the quality is more than excellent, this synth is a perfect machine, once again, congrats to Roland !
I hope I'll be able to own one of these one day, but in some years :mryellow:

Anyway, Jeremy, excellent choice, and the price is not too bad, even if you can find an X6 on AudioFanzine for 1400€ (but I dunno if there is this expansion board/software...)

I'll check eBay, what's your username ? :D

It's not really easy to play on them, don't you think ?
