That is the one I called wormlead. It's just a simple saw with portamento and sounds quite nice no matter if it's through a highpass og lowpass filter. I think Ohio Players were the first to use this kind of lead as found on "Funky Worm", and from there the name. Later it is used on several Hip-Hop tunes, especially in the early 90's. The GTA San Andreas theme was what I had in mind when I did this one.

Btw. I have found the Parlez-Vous Francais bass as a preset also. So it seems that remix is mainly produced using a Nordlead.

Hmm I think I just found the sync sound used in Together Now. Surprsingly it's not far from the Parlez-Vous Francais presets. Well not really surprising as it seems like TK used a Nordlead 2 alot in those years.
Even the modwheel is set to do that wah effect as you can hear in the syncsound used in Together Now.

See? It's definitely not only JM digging presets...

Indeed. As far as I rmemeber I also found that actic synthlead used in the end of Mike Oldfield's 'Secrets' from Tubular Bells III.

The NL2x is the next synth I want to get in the next couple of months. I have a space ready on my PC work to for it

I noticed one NL2 on finnish (internet)market place, for price of 500€

It's a second hand unit I'm looking for. Must be mint condition and complete. I am willing to pay between £300 & £400 for one.

The Nords are nice synths, but it's also like I have been so integrated with this synth, so I can get almost any VA sound I want out of it. Even the last month I have got even more into it. Besides that I think it IS easy to understand, which makes it easier to create sounds on it. I often try to build the same sound on all three VAs I have, and the Nord is somehow easiest and more loyal to my way of thinking sounds
Some say it sounds too brightfor basses, but this thing can definitely make some killerbasses that makes the walls and the floor shake
I don't know how VAa like the Virus series and the ION are compared to the Nords, but as long as my 2x does the sounds I need, then Im satisfied. This is my lady in red

Indeed! It's always an advantage in soundprogramming when you understand how the thing acts, and I think I have almost reached that with the Nord. I learn new things all the time as Im an amateur

The look has also been a big part of it. To me I work best with synths which are layed out and shaped well for the programming. That's also a matter of taste. I have never been much for synths that looks like Christmas trees when you turn it on, I have always preferred the vintage look. The Nord except for the mk3 are also pretty cleaned from lights and screens.

On some points I compare synths with girls ( no substitution here. Perhaps Nico would disagree ) but the personality and the look has to be rather equal. In other words both points are important
