Oh, right, but I guess he used both, because the one from Revolutions is not the same as the one of MF1, though, I had discovered another patch for which the ribbon was controlling the pitch bend, but if you asked it to control the settings of the Feedback Oscillator, it was sounding like a track in Akropolis

btw few days ago i had factory reset on my JP8k and discovered that lead from Education track played by JMJ on AX1 was from JP8k's factory preset Whammy Mammy [B11 or sth]

Hmm I was looking into the parameters of the JP to see what it has compared to the 201. I noticed that some of the waveforms on the JP have two controllers, like the supersaw has detune and mix. On the SH you can only control the amount of pitchspread between the seven saw waves. On the JP you can control Harmonics and feedback amount of the feedback osc. On the SH only feedback amount is available. It made me wonder what those "Detune", "Mix" and "Harmonics" options actually do... ??? Damn it is hard to compare these two synths as they work different I suppose the "Detune" option of the JP's supersaw is the same as the SH or what?

the supersaw has detune and mix. On the SH you can only control the amount of pitchspread between the seven saw waves.

The mix allows you to mix between the detuned sound and the dry sound, and the detune pot is used to set the range of the detune, so that's quite the same as on your SH201 I guess, do you have the Mix part ?

On the JP you can control Harmonics and feedback amount of the feedback osc. On the SH only feedback amount is available.

Well, the harmonics pot makes this Feedback Oscillator sound change, and the feedback amount pot is used as the mixer, if I remember correctly.


I'll try to record some clips of that, but as the computer of my studio is crashed (need to format it), I will try to do it with a camera

Yes, that's the use of the Detune pot, but the Mix pot is used to mix the volume of this detuned sound and the dry sound
