Strange. Maybe just me, but, watching now on ustream and I don't remember anything like what they're playing before the start of the concert. It sounded more like from a film, someone mentioned To Catch a Thief? Might just be my memory playing up again.

There was wind, because this was the reason JMJ can't see laser beams...not serious wind, but quite enough for having smoke flown away...

I enjoyed Chrono 4 very much ! Hope he keeps it for the rest of the tour.
The only downer was the video clips of the last tracks (RDV4, Vintage, Chrono 4) really dull IMHO.

I'm not sure if we will... But if it does happen the changes most likely will be like the release of Gdansk... Dropping a few speeches, but keeping almost the entire tracklisting, and most likely a edit to the Laserharp parts. If it's replacement footage of the rehearsles or a soundedit, I don't know but Jarre will replace those two parts...
Aslong as Mansfield isn't attached to the project, i'm pretty oke with any type of editing

My opinion is that Jarre's music is not all only about making the crowd jumping and dancing around... Remember how cold the crowd was while Ethnicolor at La Défense...

Second point : you can tell from the last tracks of the show how uptempo the concert went : Chrono 4 and Vintage were more intense for the fans than what he's done in Gdansk which already had loads of extra-beats. It would have been inhuman for him to add another Oxy8 or Oxy12 (with no flat time) jumping like he was...

Robi, I was there. There was no wind, not even a gentle breeze. I would have killed for even the slightest whiff of a breeze. As I say, maybe my memory is terrible, but the weather is one thing I do generally remember correctly.
You only need room temperature to disperse that sort of smoke, so the 28/29 degrees that was in Monaco was more than enough to kill it off before it went very far. I was watching them trying to use it before the concert and it was only going a few feet and then it was completely gone. It was going where they wanted, but just not lasting, killed off by the heat.

But stage was some metres above the audience! The more you are above of something, the more wind you experience...

Anyway, smoke used for laser just flew and flew away during RV 2 and 3.....tell me the transmission was bad.

Or it is up to technique issue.

If we do get a DVD/blu-ray release, and I really hope we do, I think there will be some edits. But hopefully we will get all the music. The laser harp can still remain, but as a re-edit in the studio. As the audio will now doubtly go through a change, such as mixing, adding the harp back in would be no problem regardless if people know what the truth behind what happened that night. That will not hamper sales. Jarre needs to concentrate on getting this released on disc and pretty sharpish.

Regarding Mansfield, what you have to remember is back in those days, these videos were edited right down for television viewing, mainly a one hour slot. So a 50 minute running edited concert fitted perfectly with TV adverts inbetween. More money is made that way than throwing the lengthier version onto tape and releasing it to the general public. However, today it's a little differant.

Oxygène 4 worked lesser good than Equinoxe 4 as far as applauding is concerned... It stroke me, compared to the 2010 tour.

My thought is that the track is either really aging or either it occurred too early in the track-list after a speech that didn't please the audience (it was entirely in english) and something that made the audience laugh (a few fireworks in the air looking like an error).

The bass part of the track is terrific, though... Thanks to Jerome.
