The midikeyboard I bought has an enormous latency (even worse than my OB12!). I wonder what's the souce of that problem, the keyboard, or the computer

Nothing else than a dedicated for the purpse soundcard works. M-Audio has a very cheap but still very good one, if you need a new one.

Ah, found the better one. A Soundblaster AWE64. Is that acceptable, or bad?

Leave the SoundBlaster where they are and run to catch a M-Audio 24/96, like mine, 0 latency
