I don't like the way people compare Hardware to their software counterparts,like they commited a crime by not replicating it 100% because your already handicapped by the fact of them being different platforms.It really grates on me when these Analog freaks say it sounds nothing like the real thing,well it won't,it just gives the impression of it.

I don't know why you even started discussing this in that direction, the original point was some people are trying to "prove" a certain sound is done by a certain machine by using a software version, replicating the sound and saying: see it sounds the same, it must have been real arp.

Well equinoxe4 sequence was never something that was established before. The only proper argument for it being an ARP is Radeks testimony that Geiss toled him so, and that was never (AFAIK) mentioned on this forum, the rest is simply guessing, so a search was indeed useless

and by the way, knowledge about audio is not "intellect", If that were so I guess every non-sound-engineer in the world is a complete idiot.

Equinoxe 4 sequence : I don't know, only supposition : ARP 2600
Oxygene 8 lead : I don't know
Orient Express : I don't know, only supposition : Prophet-5 - Same sound on Music For Supermarket Overture (+ Electric Mistress)

ARP 2500 : Has been used on Oxygene album, it was imported from USA at the time.
CS-60 : Equinoxe 1 (explained in a keyboard magazine)
Oberheim OB-X is used a lot on Magnetic Fields. Most of sequences are from RSF Kobol Expander.

All I know are in Jarrography except some tips. For example, the pitch hear in the first Basse Sequence note of Equinoxe 7 China Concerts version (just after intro), is an error from Frederic Rousseau that had badly started the Matrisequencer.

What is the actual story about JMJ and the 2500? And in what way is it related to the Oxygene album. I'd like to know it I remember it was with him in a rare videoclip in the Oxygene/Equinoxe days.

ARP 2500 is present on Oxygene Album, I don't know on which tracks we hear the synth.

Michel Geiss programmed one sound on ARP 2500 for a Rendez-Vous track (I don't know the track)

JM Jarre or collaborator may have used several synths for this part. I don't know what synth has been used.

I already said it, but from the CiC video where JMJ is demonstrating the EH microsynth for the audience, Perrier is playing some unknown stuff on the Liberation and Rousseau is playing Perriers Prophet5, which means that Rousseau might have played the P5 for the lead or?? Hmm I don't even know exactly how the polysequencer works
