First rule of buying ANYTHING..........

Never willingly pay the stores asking price.......Badger them for a discount...most stores CAN give you a discount,(even with secondhand dealers too)
I have never bought anything at the store price or list price and will insist on a discount if they want me to part with my money....

Most of the Main music retailers in the UK can pricematch each other,but you can always get them down a little more if your cheeky enough to keep pestering them,I saved almost £200 on my Korg Triton Extreme just by keeping on at the salesguy...

I told him I have the money to buy now whats the best (real ) price he can do it for me,after knocking 100 off I said you can do better than that,but he kept giving me some crap about not being able to,told him I'm gonna be buying one today,whether it was here or somewhere else,asked to speak to the Manager and ended up with the £200 off....Bartering pays off...Dont let some "It will come out of my commision" or "thats the best deal around mate" banter put you off....They make a profit margin on most things regardless,and most of the big retailers make even more due to buying power in bulk discounts


and I've saved myself a heap of cash in the past with other gear too...(Also helps if your a regular there too...I 'm pretty much part of the shops fixings where i buy!!!)


Never pay the Asking price...If you can't get a discount go somewhere else,some shops will give you a discount just so they can move stock even if it means maybe a loss for them...

Did Roland change the colour of the lettering on the D50s, as one looks white and the other light blue? (mine is light blue also)

all letters are lightblue, the drawings are white

D50 that i bought for 20E was in extremly hard condition... almost all keyboard was nor working, also the buttons, the pitch bender was damaged, left channell wasn't working etc

Ahhh, the one in the foreground (signed by Jarre) looks white. Must be the camera flash.

Here's mine bought for £60. Volume crackles abit when being moved, joystick was missing its top but I replaced with a home made wooden dowling painted black. Lot of light cratches along its sides, but I guess it was stored on its side at some point. When I took the back off it to repair some loose wires, a previous owner had written inside saying he had played the synth at gigs alongside Russ Conway.

If I remember correctly, I paid about 1500 FIM (about 252€) for my roland d50 couple years ago...

BTW: Does D50 understand D20s patches? (there was one patch what I could use with D50)

250 euros for a D50 today, is it interesting? With a memory card and no manual.

It's not the cheapest I've seen, but I've seen many others that were much more expensive (between 300 and 400 euros).

I can test the synth before bidding on ebay, the seller lives at a 5-minute drive from my home!
