About 3-4 years ago, we started to get more and more frustrated about how some old fans agressively reject any JMJ music that doesn't sound like Oxygene. So we did a campaign against that. Especially me. I kept posting about his later albums more and more, I used arguments, substantive takes

There was no "we".

There was no "campaign".

There was just you. Being offensive, being patronizing, being disrespectful, gaslighting, calling anyone who dares to have a different *opinion* a "hater" and ultimately blocking them. Your "substantive takes" would frequently deny facts, music theory or dismiss counterarguments as "unimportant" or "dumb", because your "substantive takes" can never be wrong.

You literally called yourself on Facebook doing "fanatism". Which ironically is the correct term to describe your misbehavior, but you neglected to look it up in the dictionary.

I debunked myths about him, etc.

And when people debunked your myths about him - because they've been following him 4-5 times as long as you have and they might be aware of more things than you do - you did the things listed above.

JMJs classical era ended with Chronologie imo. Upto and including Chronologie JMJ's compositions had Baroque Classical Romantic influences. These had a depth. These set JMJ apart. As well as JMJ's imagination synthesis abilities breadth of ideas set JMJ apart.

For whatever reasons JMJ went dance from 1997 onwards. By doing so JMJ became one of the pack.

Yeah. By the way - one of the bigger sources of myths about JMJ is Jean-Michel Jarre. A lot of things he says and does contradict each other, but I guess no matter what it's always "the truth" to the "fanatics". I've seen lots of them break: for one person the final straw was watching the T&T showcase in person; for another one it was realizing that the "new recording" of Oxygene in 2007 is a lie; for another one it was the contradictory statements about the origin of "Iraqi Hitch-hiker". And so on and so forth.

And once again, here's the word "hating". You either "love" or you "hate". Nothing in between. You can't have an opinion. You can't criticize. You must blindly like everything with the "JMJ" sticker on it or you're not worthy of being a fan.

Maybe JMJ needs to evolve into something that not everybody likes, but I don't think this forum needs to "evolve" into yet another toxic Facebook/Discord cesspool.

Jean-Michel Jarre to Perform in Sofia

Jean-Michel Jarre will present an audiovisual synthesis of rhythm, light, and technology at Vidas Art Arena (Sofia Velodrome) in Borisova Gradina Park on June 23, said organizers from Fest Team on Monday.

BTW, after some thought, I've decided to go to the last concert in Stuttgart. This time, I want to be very close to the stage. I bought a ticket on TicketSwap because those tickets are no longer available on the organizer's website. I don't know yet how I'll get there, but I'll think about that later.

I absolutely love how much energy this 77 year old man still has. I remember him jumping up and down during Zero Gravity in Bratislava.

He still has so much passion, creativity, it's hard to believe. Most artists at his age are at home sitting in a chair, thinking about the old times. And those who are still active are just giving you a tired bubble of 70, 80s, 90s nostalgia. But not Jarre, he is still as excited to play his tracks as a 30 year old (except RV4 ) would be, he never seems like a tired, old man on stage or during the interviews. He has more energy at this age than many 50 or 40 year old musicians, who are already doing nostalgic music.

The other thing I noticed is how much energy he has during concerts at 11p.m. or at midnight. Though he did mention a few times that he is a night person who loves making music during the night, 4 a.m. in the morning or even later.
