Renault Captur facelift revealed, and it’s gone vegan

Inside the cabin architecture retains its familiar design, but there is a new infotainment screen as well as fresh upholstery on all versions. And upon entering the vehicle, occupants will hear a unique welcome sound sequence by renowned French composer Jean-Michel Jarre.

For real listening pleasure, the Harman Kardon hi-fi system, available depending on the version, includes nine speakers (two tweeters and two woofers at front and rear and a subwoofer in the boot). Delivering an immersive sound experience, it comprises five programmes specially created for Renault by Jean-Michel Jarre: Studio, Podcast, Concert, Immersion and Club.

Renault and Jean-Michel Jarre extend their partnership to develop new in-car sound experiences for brand vehicles
Renault and Jean-Michel Jarre are extending the partnership initiated in 2022 for a further four years, through to 2028
Artist, composer, producer and pioneer in electronic music, Jean-Michel Jarre and his team are working in close collaboration with the UX/UI engineering and design departments at the Technocentre, as well as with IRCAM (Institute of research and coordination in acoustics/music), audio suppliers and other partners
The partnership has been renewed in pursuit of a more ambitious, longer-term objective: to deliver an exceptional avant-garde in-car sound experience for brand vehicles
This renewal is in line with the product planning timeline of the Renault brand over the next four years, coinciding with the expected arrival of new models incorporating the creative features and innovations developed with Jean-Michel Jarre
The immersive sound environment created through the “Renault x JMJ” collaboration will explore new areas such as contextualisation in sound and music, making use of a range of technologies including AI
