I'd say he would,In most production cases,lots of notes and Audio tracking details and in Jarres case patch charts are part and parcel of the producing side it goes with the territory,especially back in the earlier days,this was a large part of the Job of the studio engineer if you wanted to remember things,very few artists will go in and just throw an Album together with no idea how they did this or that,whether he kept those documents is another thing.Even in todays studio environments with Automation and instant recall etc,having some Notes is still mandatory.
He'd certainly know how it was constructed,after all these years but perhaps not every minute intricate detail,Replaying it exactly is another thing though,as is the Case with the last Live renditions of Oxygene.As I've said before,the reason I beleive he never played all these tracks 100% live in past concerts is simply how he built the tracks tracking most things by hand direct to Audio in the Studio and relying more on smaller sequences of parts rather than simply sequencing everything,and because of the practical side of transporting things and the amount of people needed to play everything live from every instrument.
You've seen the Equipment needed for a Live rendition for the tracks on Oxygene,for 4 mortal players,could you imagine also adding all the synths/Equipment used on every other album,just to play a few tracks Live and exact??now you can see why he used Audio back up for Concerts and simply overdubs,I suspect we'll see Jarre utilising these vintage synths for this next world tour,playing more of the backcatalogue on them
